Starting psychiatric care can feel like a big step, and it is normal to have questions about what to expect. An initial evaluation is not a test to pass — it is simply a conversation designed to understand what you are experiencing and how we might help.

What Happens During the Evaluation

We will talk through your current concerns, relevant history, medications, and daily life. This gives us a full picture of your situation so we can discuss possible next steps together.

You Do Not Need a Diagnosis to Start

Many people come in unsure of exactly what they are dealing with, and that is completely fine. Clarifying what you are experiencing is part of the process, not a prerequisite for it.
