TWO EXPERIENCES. ONE PRACTICE THAT SUPPORTS BOTH
Are you the one going through it, or the one supporting someone who is?
The person going through transplant and the people supporting them may share the same journey, but they do not always carry the same emotions, responsibilities, or concerns. I provide care that recognizes the needs of both.
Support for the one going through it
Preparing for or recovering from a transplant can bring uncertainty, fear, emotional changes, and questions about what life may look like next. I provide a space to talk openly about what you're experiencing and help you find the psychiatric and emotional support that fits where you are right now.
Support for the one carrying it beside them
Supporting someone through transplant can involve love, responsibility, fear, and difficult decisions. It can also leave little space to recognize your own emotional needs. I provide thoughtful support as you navigate change, uncertainty, and the ongoing responsibility of caring for someone you love.
Why Both Sides of Care Matter
One journey, two very different experiences
The person going through transplant may be carrying fear, uncertainty, physical changes, and the pressure of a major medical journey.
At the same time, family members and caregivers may be carrying worry, responsibility, difficult decisions, and the need to stay strong for someone they love.
These experiences are connected, but they are not the same.
I believe both deserve space, understanding, and thoughtful care. Attending to emotional well-being on both sides helps each person feel heard, communicate more openly, and move through change together.
No one should feel they have to carry every part of this journey alone.
Support Before and After Transplant
Are you preparing for a transplant or already living with it?
The emotional experience of transplant changes over time—what feels hardest before transplant is often different from what surfaces during recovery and adjustment afterward. I provide support that considers where you are in the process, what you're carrying, and the kind of care that actually fits that stage.
